SAPS Tips For Online Applications

Greetings To Y’all.

I know many of you are busy applying for the SAPS Police Trainee posts and other online jobs. But please understand this clearly,
Recruiters don’t recognize you just because you applied first.

Even if you apply at 23:59 on the closing day, if your documents are complete and you meet the requirements, you will be considered.

What matters is doing things correctly, not quickly.
Online applications use ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems) which means your CV must be ATS-friendly to be read properly by the system.. For SAPS applications abafuni CV.

When preparing your CV:

  1. Use a simple, clean template avoid complicated designs.
  2. Make sure section headings are clear and in bold (not the same font or size as the text).
  3. Your Professional Summary or Career Objective must be at the top and filled with strong keywords related to your education, experience, and any licenses or certificates.
  4. Don’t copy the default summaries from apps like Intelligent CV rather write one based on:
    Your matric and qualifications
    Your work experience
    Your skills and certifications
  5. Don’t just focus on soft skills like “punctual” or “team player”.
Make sure to include technical or hard skills, what you’ve done practically on the job.
  6. Always write the month and year (e.g. “March 2021 – June 2023”), not just the year, because the system needs clear timelines.

✍️For SAPS applications, remember:
You can apply even if you don’t have a driver’s license. As long as you have Matric (Grade 12) and meet the basic criteria, you can send your application.

For SAPS you only need uncertified copies of your documents at the time of application. They do not require certified documents upfront.

Please don’t take photos of your documents. SCAN them instead!
Photos often come out blurry, cut off, or too dark and that can get your application rejected.

Just make sure all your documents are complete.
Goodluck on your applications. 🙏
