Assistant Diesel Bay Underground Job Description
Qualifying Criteria:

• Grade 11 or equivalent ABET Level; a combination of academic background and work experience will be considered.
• Ability to adapt to change in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• Must be deadline-driven with the ability to work under pressure.
• Must be able to work underground.
• Applicant must possess written and verbal communication skills.
• Shortlisted applicants will be required to undergo job evaluation and competency testing.
• Applicants must be physically fit and competent.
• Must have basic numeracy and calculation skills.
• Must be able to work at heights.
• South African Citizenship.
• Clear Criminal Record.

Responsibilities:

• Record and capture hydrocarbon consumption accurately.
• Required to take daily Dips and accurately record readings.
• Required to climb onto the hydrocarbon tanks and TMM vehicles; therefore, should not have a fear of heights.
• Undertake any reasonable instruction given by a supervisor/manager.
• Ensure all work performance follows the expected KPI standard.
• Required to work Shifts and flexible hours.
• Must be able to work underground.
• Adhere to company standards, policies, and procedures.
• Maintain good housekeeping standards to ensure the environment is conducive to safe working conditions.
• Report any abnormalities such as theft, damage, or unsafe working conditions.
• Adhere to all departmental policies and procedures.
• Adhere to MHSA standards & Gold1 Group’s safety motto: “Nothing is so important that it cannot be done safely”.
